so i'm not a finisher

i have to keep my mind active, being a mom is a change of pace. faster in some areas, slower in others. i try to busy myself with projects, especially since most of the unpacking has been done (that took a lot of my time). now i have a house to decorate, and since it's a new house, it's a blank slate. i want to do everything all at once and i keep telling myself, a little at a time... especially since i am notorious for taking on too much at once, and leaving things unfinished, or just getting bored and stopping half way.
for example: knitting, i was all about knitting.. never finished that baby blanket, but to my defense i did manage to make violet a hat!
my latest project is the large white wall in my living room. we have 11 foot ceilings, so there is a lot to cover. a simple picture in a picture frame wont do. since jake and i both have such a rich family history that has been pretty well documented (photographically speaking), I had the idea to print pictures on to some fairly large canvas and hang them up like an art gallery. This is already getting pricey, but i think it's worth it. Costco does it for a pretty reasonable price, but the problem is you can't reformat the picture to fit onto the canvas size. this leaves out heads, arms and other important parts of the picture. Luckily i found a website that is just as cost efficient and it lets me resize the pictures if need be. i am pretty determined to get this done by christmas. maybe i need some accountability ? neh. i shut done with too many reminders.
